This doll is a typical character of the Italian “Comedia del Arte”.
The one of a kind harlequin girl is 26” tall, if standing (without
hat). She
is made from white Limoges porcelain, has green German crystal glass
eyes and a hand dyed light purple, human hair wig. Her body is
made from porcelain down to her waist line, the limbs are sculpted
high up to her body. Leather body, fully poseable, underneath.
Costuming: Her very special Jester outfit consists of a silk dress,
a matching jacket and hat, abundantly decorated with pleated silk
taffeta ruffles and little silver bells.

body. Very long, natural brown human hair wig, mouth blown German
crystal glass eyes. Her missy romantic outfit consists of a
princess dress, a barge hat and typical French silk boots in lavender
and cream. Her precious dress has three layers of difference kinds
of silk, richly embellished and embroidered with little pearls, glass
ornaments, paillettes and antique lace. The large hat frames her
young innocent face and adds a fancy note to the concept. Her
lavender silk boots with many silk covered buttons emphasize her
beautifully sculpted feminine legs and allows one to see her detailed
toes. |
