2000 Update: Vera Scholz began making dolls as a substitute for antique dolls which she could not afford. When she was not making her own dolls she was intensely occupied with painting. In 1987 Vera began to model her dolls out of porcelain working partly from photographs of children. She prefers however to work without the aid of a design and prefers to give her dolls indifferent expressions in which the onlooker can still notice a certain mood. Vera is married and has a grown son. The family lives in the north of Germany near Hamburg. Waltershauser currently produces her work in vinyl. Please feel free to contact us on her porcelain work. We were very pleased with her dolls this year - especially Dand-lara! You can reserve any of these dolls with a deposit of 25% down, balance due when in. We can work with you on ship dates.
